WNOWelsh National Opera (Feb - Mar 2010),Wales Millennium Centre

Welsh National Opera presents a new production of Mozart's glorious comedy set on the Orient Express - 'The Abduction from Seraglio' as its first offering. This is a co-production of Houston Grand Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Opera Colorado, Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Minnesota Opera and Opera Pacific. The next production is Puccini's pulsating thriller that never fails to enthral - 'Tosca'. This period set production promises to set your emotions on a knife-edge.The spring season ends with 'Carmen'- a co-production with Scottish Opera where Bizet’s most famous creation is full to the brim with instantly recognizable music and paints a mesmerizing picture of a Spain teeming with fascinating characters. Half Term at Cardiff CastleHalf Term at Cardiff Castle (14 - 19 February 2010)

From blood-curdling practice of medieval medicine, courageous knights and archery displays, Cardiff Castle offers fascinating, informative and fun activities during this half term holidays. JLS: Oritsé, JB, Aston, and Marvin are the most successful group of all time to enter The X Factor; the most popular show on British TV. From the outset it was clear that JLS were not usual X Factor fodder. They took their X Factor path one step at a time, from auditions to boot camp to the judges’ houses right up to the live show knock-out rounds and eventually the final. It became similarly clear to everyone around JLS that they weren’t in this for the short haul. Find out more

Lady GaGa – the biggest selling new artist of the year bar none will be on a major UK arena tour for February-March 2010. The Monster Ball will be her first UK shows of 2010, and the first chance for fans to hear songs from her revamped album, The Fame Monster.Find out more

 



HairsprayHairspray (30 Mar - 24 Apr 2010),Wales Millennium Centre


Hairspray comes to Wales Millennium Centre for just 5 weeks. Having played to sold out houses in London, on Broadway and at theatres around the globe, this is the feel-good musical of the moment and it is opening its first ever UK Tour in Cardiff. Find out more

 

 


RHS Cardiff 2010RHS Show Cardiff (16 – 18 April),Bute Park

The RHS show season starts here so celebrate in style at this delightful show which has a real spring festival feel.
