Orchard reflects on a good first half

Ryder Cup Welcome to Wales concert

Cardiff based Orchard Media and Events Group has posted impressive half year figures of £2.2m since last autumn’s merger of two of Wales’ most respected communications firms – representing a 22% year-on-year rise.

Orchard was created in autumn last year from a merger between Push4 and Greenfield Media, offering a unique and comprehensive range of creative communications services in Wales and across the world, with clients such as Tata Steel, Principality Building Society, Johnson & Johnson, and the Welsh Government.

Since then it has directed the Welcome to Wales spectacular in Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium to kick off Ryder Cup 2010, captured the world’s third largest sporting event on camera, managed the recent FIFA event for the Football Association of Wales, worked across Europe for Johnson & Johnson, and picking up new clients such as Volvo Cars Cardiff and Only Men Aloud. We are also looking forward to promoting JLS at the Liberty Stadium on the 12th of June.

Wyn Innes - Chief Executive

Orchard chief executive Wyn Innes said: “It’s hugely encouraging to think that as one company, Orchard is performing significantly better than as individual entities. The merger has therefore been a big success in that respect.  We know how difficult trading is for companies in Wales at present, and there’s no doubt that we too are feeling those effects, but I think that our range of services and our spread of work both in Wales and internationally has put us in a very strong position to continue to compete here and abroad and to really kick on from here.”

Orchard services include event management; music promotion; production of TV commercials and corporate videos; online and print production; media planning and buying; PR; digital media; mobile and viral marketing; audio visual equipment hire; and consultancy.
