We’ve moved to the Castle Quarter

Back to news list

Cardiff’s Castle Quarter has received a major boost with the move of Cardiff & Co, the city’s marketing company, into Westgate House, opposite the Millennium Stadium.

The company has taken 3,000 feet of space on a 12-year lease.

Richard Thomas, managing director of Cardiff & Co, said: “We see this move partly as a catalyst to attract other businesses to this part of the city and as part of establishing the city centre as one of areas in Cardiff with a focus on creative industries.”

Nick Griffith of Curzon real estates, who own and operate the building, said attracting Cardiff & Co into the Castle Quarter would open the way for other companies to join in what is an expanding area of the city.

He said: “The Castle Quarter is breathing new life into this part of the city. Now that the pedestrianisation works are nearing completion at High Street and St Mary Street, the full potential of this area can be appreciated, centring on the Castle Arcade and High Street/ Duke Street arcades. Womanby St, in particular, has improved dramatically.

“We are delighted that Cardiff & Co have chosen to relocate to the Castle Quarter.”

Richard Thomas added: “The property gives us the flexibility we need to operate as a commercial organisation, with hours to suit our clients and the city’s backers. We are ideally situated right opposite the Millennium Stadium, at the heart of the city centre in offices that have been refurbished to a high standard, giving visitors to our new offices a good first impression.”

Mr Thomas said those business working with Cardiff & Co to raise the profile of the city region should make use of their partnership with the company to take advantage of the facilities available in the new offices.
