ktsowensthomas join international accountancy association

ktsowensthomas, one of the Sponors for the Cardiff Ambassadors Gala Dinner, has become the first practice in south Wales to join the international association of independent accounting firms and business advisers, DFK International.
The firm has joined DFK UK and Ireland, which is part of the wider DFK International Group, to enable current clients access to accountancy specialists around the world and to expand the business by being able to serve a wider range of clients within Wales and beyond.
Linking up with over 200 firms in countries in over 120 different countries, the membership will not only enable the Welsh-based operation to access specialist skills from elsewhere in the group but will also give it the opportunity to use its own areas of specialism to serve other DFK clients across the UK.
Craig Blackmore, director of ktsowensthomas said: “With over 300 offices world-wide, we are able to cater for clients who want to take advantage of the global marketplace and the opportunities that brings. With more and more businesses having international interests, we can now provide clients with the very best accountancy and tax resources on both a national and international level through DFK.
“With this advice utilizing locally based experts, it ensures our clients have access to in country professionals with extensive knowledge of local laws and regulation.
“Since joining we have already witnessed a number of clients benefiting from the service having already consulted with DFK member firms in Denmark, Germany, Egypt and Australia.”
Director Russell Jenkins continued: “DFK has an excellent reputation in the accountancy sector and by becoming a part of this respected network, we are confident that we will be able to deliver clear benefits to existing and future clients. We see this participation as a way to assist our clients, hopefully attract overseas business to Wales and develop a competitive international service offering.
“It is important to note though that the firm remains committed to our local roots and our existing south Wales client base. DFK membership provides an excellent additional resource that can be called upon at any time.”
Mark Lamb of DFK International said: "We are delighted to welcome ktsowensthomas to the association and excited about being able to draw on their expertise. This new association will help our geographical footprint in the UK and we will benefit from ktsowensthomas' understanding of the local market."
