Quaint Arcades

Cardiff’s arcades still retain many of their Victorian and Edwardian features and are now home to dozens of unique stores and cafes. All manner of Welsh gifts can be found in these arcades, from handmade Welsh textiles to Welsh love spoons and rugby shirts. Cardiff arcades offer enough to keep even the most dedicated shop-aholic satisfied. In total, the arcades stretch to a length of 797m (2,655 ft.)!

Castle Arcade

The Castle arcade, as the name suggests, runs from opposite Cardiff Castle to High Street, north of St Mary St. Home to a variety of small boutique shops as well as cafes and delicatessens, Castle Arcade dates back to 1887. Here you'll find an array of edible goodies at Madame Fromage, including specialty cheeses, breads and pastas. Keep your eco conscience clean by popping into Oyster, where you'll find fair-trade and organic clothing.
