There are a number of Welsh Assembly Government Training initiatives in Wales. The Education and training network delivers well-prepared employees, from trainee level to post-graduate. The Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) is able to provide tailor made packages of advice and funding to help with training.
Wales’ colleges and universities offer a high level of training, flexible research support and a supply of high quality graduates with specialisms in diverse fields. Cardiff University, University of Glamorgan, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and Cardiff Metropolitan University offer courses and training to those seeking or in employment.
Cardiff and Vale College has in excess of 25 years experience of working with employers to ensure training meets sector needs. The College has extensive experience in working with local SMEs to large multinational private companies and public sector organisations and in accessing eligible funding to support business needs

Wales has a network of Sector Skills Councils that helps to research and satisfy the skills required by the different sectors of Employment. The Councils work with businesses to ensure that qualifications such as apprenticeships are led by industry and meet the needs and requirements of each sector and their employers.
